Essential elements for professional development:
- Starting position and related AoRs: The role and set of responsibilities you have been hired for initially, the starting point of your journey at Publitas.
- The level of fulfillment of the AoRs, and how you manage the results you are responsible for.
- Team OKRs and KPIs; are the common goals and targets you contribute to.
- Company stage and structure; as the company is continuously evolving, the reporting and supporting structures change. The teams will change. ‣
How to make progress in your career at Publitas:
- Develop your vision and goals for one to three years ahead. Remember, this is not an overnight exercise. It is a continuous process and will become apparent after six weeks to six months of constant attention and iteration.
- Share your vision and plans with your team lead, including any transition idea you have in mind. Note that transitions need time to be clarified, planned, and executed. (Usually 6 to 12 months)
- Make progress in your AoR and general performance. In collaboration with your team lead, find the gap towards your next growth step and challenge. See also ‣
- Experimentation and pilots with other teams; block some time weekly to shadow and collaborate with different departments if you want to explore other teams and roles to validate the fit with the career options you have in mind. Take 3 to 6 months for every exploration pilot. Discuss options with your team lead.
- Book a regular mentorship/knowledge-sharing session with anyone in the company. Discuss options with your team lead.
- Research resources and training related to your role and plans and spend time on learning regularly. You can request trainings or courses with HR.
- Keep track of your progress in your “Performance (2/1-1)” task in Asana: Update this task frequently and identify goals and next actions.
